The Online Training Session on Machine Learning at the Edge and the Far Edge

Virtual Live

IoT Week 2021 is a 5-day virtual conference (taking place between 30 August - 3 September) where leaders from the business, technology and science communities will discuss the future of Internet of Thing (IoT) and its impact on business and life.The rising awareness of climate change has caused the popularization of sustainability and the realization that we need to do things not only differently, but better. As focus shifts to finding solutions to climate issues, technological advancements and innovation present a promising way forward. The IoT plays an important role here, promising to facilitate great leaps in our efforts to transform our places and spaces, from homes and offices to entire cities, into sustainable environments.

Within this background, on the 30th of August, an online training session on the Machine Learning at the Edge and the Far Edge will be organised under the IoT week. The training session will be composed of tutorials on cutting-edge Machine Learning topics, including EdgeAI, Federated Machine Learning and TinyML. In addition, relevant use cases will also be presented and explained, giving a practical look into the use of these technologies.

Two key IoT experts will lead this training session:

  • Dr. Artemis Voulkidis from SYNELIXIS S.A, (responsible for the IoT-NGIN project) will provide and introduction to Federated Machine Learning (FML) and FML Cybersecurity;
  • Dr. John Soldatos from INTRASOFT International (responsible for the EU-IoT project) will talk about tools and techniques for Embedded Machine Learning and TinyML development.

The event is free of charge, however, registration is required.
