Quantum Computing: Advancing Enterprises and Career Paths
The webinar 'Quantum Computing: Advancing Enterprises and Career Paths', organised by Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet, takes place on 14 December 2021 from 9:00 to 10:00 in the morning (Dublin time) online via Zoom.
With quantum computing foreseen to be the next grand disruption in society and economy - as well as a giant step for humanity when it comes to technological progress - quantum computing skills should be fostered and encouraged further as a means to remain competitive on a national level. The webinar is set in the context of the joint work of Technology Ireland ICT Skillnet and the Irish Centre for High-End Computing (ICHEC) since 2020, together with an Industry Advisory Board on developing a national-level course in quantum computing and programming.
The webinar will explore the importance of quantum knowledge for enterprises and why it is crucial for managers, executives, team leaders and developers from across different sectors to develop understanding - and drive forward the adoption of quantum technology through the framework of the programme designed.
The event brings together a variety of representatives from: research and enterprise organisations, public agencies and governments, industry and the private sector, as well as policymakers and experts in the field of quantum expertise and up- and re- skilling.
