Technology in and for society: Innovating well for inclusive transitions
Blended

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) organises an international, multi-stakeholder conference on 6 and 7 December 2021, all dedicated to good governance and innovation: Technology in and for society. Innovating well for inclusive transitions. The goal is to discuss and develop a policy agenda that will foster healthy and sustainable innovation actions, contributing to the creation of a more inclusive, democratic society.
More specifically the conference aims to:
- Explore how the design of policies related to upstream technology governance can help open pathways for needed sociotechnical change while building public trust in the STI system, and preventing or correcting potential negative effects
- Pool practical ideas, experiences and knowledge to anticipate longer-term practices, uses and impacts of emerging technologies and develop capacities to promote, steer and cope with sociotechnical change
- Explore what kinds of frameworks and multilateral approaches are needed for promoting values-based technology, responsible innovation, and inclusive transitions.
Registration will open in the coming weeks.
