Women in Cybersecurity Industry

Women in Cybersecurity Industry, is the fourth of the Diversity and Cybersecurity webinar series, hosted by CONCORDIA on topics related to the gender balance. Taking place on 8 March, 16:30 – 18:00 CET, the webinar aims to explore how to confront the crucial challenge of underrepresentation of women in the cyber industry. As an underexploited source of talent for the industry, the event also provides women the opportunity to network among other women who may be interest in starting a new career path.

The demand for cyber specialists and experts is higher than the supply, making both society and the organisations in the industry increasingly vulnerable. Recruiting cyber talents has become genuine obstacle for the cyber industry. As a result of this, the session also includes a mentoring activity, implemented as private calls between the audience and the speakers. From a social perspective, those in the industry cannot bear that the cyber sector, which increasingly impacts on daily life, is affected by the thoughts, developments, and government of only men.
