The EU-funded DIH² project actively supports innovative solutions and fresh ideas that enhance manufacturing in Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) through the use of robotics. Its role is to facilitate the connections that will enable agile production in factories where speed and versatility are essential to satisfy customer demand.

Several open calls will be opened within the DIH². 

The process to find 15 additional consortia of at least one SME and one Technology Solution Provider will be launched on 1st April 2021 and close on 30th June 2021.The selected consortia will participate in the Technology Transfer Program, whose main purpose is to test the Robotics and Automation MarketPlace (RAMP) and strength of the DIH² network. Participants will be offered a lump sum money of up to EUR 248,000 EU funds plus access to technology and additional services.

The Open Calls' funding process is open to SMEs and slightly bigger companies with up to 500 employees and a maximum of €100 million in turnover, as well as to systems integrator and technology providers specialised in technology transfer or integration to end-users (this includes research and technology organisations, competence centres, mid-caps or start-ups).

Financing conditions

Initially, SMEs and Technology Solution Providers are invited to apply individually. After a selection process, they form a consortium consisting of at least one SME and one Technology Solution Provider and then apply for funding of a project that could advance the use of robotics in manufacturing.
