Big Data Course

This short training on the topic of Big Data aims to provide participants with a foundational knowledge of Big Data and related analytics in a business context. The course is developed by Parsec Hub, a Digital Innovation Hub (DIH) in Italy and offered through the I4MS initiative (ICT Innovation for Manufacturing SMEs). The training targets employees in manufacturing companies and covers a broad range of sectors: aerospace, agriculture and food technology, education, energy, and construction, as well as the chemical and software industry.
Structure and objective of the course
The training is face to face, and can be conducted over the course of 1 day full time, or up to 3 days on a part-time basis. This makes it suitable for small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) and work-based training, as it offers the possibility of tailoring training content to a specific content. Conducted in Italian, the training programme focuses on concepts central to Big Data, including data storage, cloud technologies, or data analytics, as well as on related fields, such as machine learning. Participants also improve their knowledge of big data paradigms, data mining, or use of predictive analytics to detect potential malfunctions along the manufacturing supply chain. The training programme incorporates a variety of learning methods, including best practices and use cases of successful application of innovative technologies, which employees can apply within day-to-day operations.
The aim of the course is to provide participants with the knowledge of the fundamentals of Big Data and Big Data Analytics, of currently best-in-class technologies for the implementation of a project related to them.
