"Digital Transformation for Organisational Resilience" EIT Digital Summer School course
The programme
This programme aims to explore how disruptive IT Technologies for information, mobility and safety services in cities and organisations working with cities can be deployed in existing management approaches. Increasingly, organisations face challenges related to the adoption and adaptation of new administrative and operational procedures caused by disruptive IT technologies. Consequently, this becomes a larger problem when change is continuous and accelerating especially when organisations are not flexible enough to survive these evolving conditions.
This EIT Digital Summer School programme will teach participants how to analyse work processes and organisations as well as how they can develop new working methods through an interactive design process using intrapreneurial and participative actions and experiments. As part of this programme, participants will visit various organisations and interview different stakeholders. Through these exercises, the participants will be asked to produce scenarios and solutions with the help of digital technologies that address the problems identified by stakeholders.
The final solutions to the identiified challenges will be presented as proposals for experiments that could be conducted by the involved organisations. As such students will not pitch a business venture, but a more strategic plan for applying digital transformation in a chosen organisation.
After the summer school, a speed-dating event will be organised with all participating organisations and students that aims to ensure that collaboration between them will continue also after the completion of the summer school.
This EIT Digital Summer School programme will take place in Ljubljana, Slovenia from 10 to 21 July 2023. Applications close 1 June 2023.

The EIT Digital Summer School programmes are open to bachelor and master students, young professionals and other individuals who want to deep dive into emerging digital technologies. All educational backgrounds are welcome in the EIT Digital Summer School programmes.
