Founded in 1836, the University of London is federal public university, located in the capital of the United Kingdom.
It offers a variety of educational programmes on bachelor's, master's and doctoral level and is one of the leading universities in Europe when it comes to the offering of online programmes and degrees. In addition, the University of London is also active in the provision of Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) with a focus on emerging technologies, such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Virtual/Augmented Reality (AR/VR), and others.
The University of London is the first university within the UK to offer examinations for women, starting from 1869, and the first one to admit women to official degree programmes.
