Digital Skills and Jobs Platform

ÁMOS vision is a network of interactive touch panels that modernises communication and access to educational and preventive content in Czech schools. The panels connect school information systems, school content, educational quizzes and information on safety, mental health or career choices.

About this initiative

The ÁMOS vision project was created as an alternative to classic school boards and passive information screens. Since 2018, it has been gradually building a nationwide network of interactive touch panels located in primary and secondary schools. The aim is to provide pupils, teachers and school visitors with important information in a clear, attractive and easily accessible digital form.

The panel connects several functions into one environment. Students can follow current schedules, substitutes, menus, calendar of events and other school information. At the same time, the school manages its own content through a web application, such as news, photos, videos, documents, competition results or pupil work. The system can be linked to commonly used school and catering systems, such as Bachelors ,School Online, EduPage, Edookit or Strava.cz.

An important part of the project is educational and preventive content. The panels provide information on safe online behaviour, cyberbullying, mental health, financial literacy, transport safety, first aid, sustainable development or choice of further studies and occupations. Interactive counselling also makes available contacts to organizations that help children in difficult life situations. The content is created in cooperation with professional partners and guarantors, such as Centrum Locika, Safety Line ,Safezona, BESIP or Záchranka.

Why is this a good practice?

The project is an example of a good practice, fostering the development of digital skills in education. Students encounter digital content naturally in the day-to-day environment of the school, actively seeking information and engaging in educational quizzes, competitions and polls. Teachers and school leaders get a simple tool for digital management and content publishing. At the same time, the project declares that the panels do not contain commercial advertising for products and services, do not provide access to social networks and do not collect data about specific users.

The scope of the initiative is continuously expanding. The number of entities involved increased from 65 in 2018 to 600 schools in 2025. The network comprises 441 primary and 159 secondary schools and has a reported reach of around 310, 000 pupils, 18,000 teachers and 600 directors. The most used part of the panel is the educational and competition section Funzone. There was record interest in this content, with over 1.56 million times the content was accessed from September 2025 to March 2026.

The solution is sustainable thanks to continuous updating of the content, the possibility to involve new professional partners and integration with the information systems of individual schools. It is replicated, and has scaled up. The technical and content model can be adapted to different types of schools and potentially transferred to other countries if content, counselling contacts and links with local school systems are localised. At present, ÁMOS touch panels are also available in schools in Slovakia, whilst the first deliveries to Polish schools are also underway.
