5 years of DSJP: DEP projects building a connected skills ecosystem Created byRosemary Sheridan|UpdatedagoThe Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (DSJP) was launched five years ago with the goal to become a central hub for Europe’s digital transformation: facilitating collaboration, visibility, and impact across the continent. This anniversary is a celebration for the organisations, educators, and professionals who have used DSJP to connect and share their work. In this article we will hear testimonials from four of the many projects funded under the Digital Europe Programme (DEP) that are integral to the DSJP’s success. Digital4Business: breaking down borders in digital educationMeri Cvetkovska, Digital4Business project and National College of IrelandBorders fade on DSJP. We connected with kindred organisations and built digital skills that move Europe forward."DSJP has been invaluable for networking with similar organisations, universities, and partners across Europe. It helped us connect with people who share our values, promote our Master's programme to wider audiences, and reach inclusive groups we might otherwise have missed. These connections have expanded our visibility and strengthened our collaborative reach. As digital transformation accelerates, no single project can address Europe's skills needs alone. A connected ecosystem like DSJP enables organisations to share resources, align values, and collaborate across borders. Being part of this network ensures projects stay visible, reach diverse communities, and contribute meaningfully to a shared digital future." MERIT: empowering professionals with future-ready skillsDarja Bubnova, MERIT project and Riga Technical University (RTU)Connecting talent, education, and industry across Europe, MERIT empowers professionals with practical, future-ready digital skills."Through DSJP, our short-term course gained visibility among a diverse European audience of learners, educators, and organisations. The platform enabled us to connect with new partners and participants beyond Latvia, strengthening cross-border collaboration. This exposure has helped position MERIT as a contributor to the European digital skills ecosystem. As digital transformation accelerates, collaboration across countries and sectors becomes essential. Platforms like DSJP enable knowledge sharing, scalability, and alignment with European priorities. Being part of such an ecosystem ensures projects remain relevant, accessible, and impactful, while fostering innovation and addressing skills gaps collectively across Europe." SUSA: bridging digital health data and skills Michelle Kelly, SUSA project and Skillnet IrelandDSJP helps our project connect digital health skills across Europe, supporting accessible, cross-border education and workforce development."The DSJP has increased SUSA’s visibility by showcasing training offers such as the Generative AI Essentials for Healthcare Professionals course. Publishing these programmes has enabled SUSA to reach a broader European audience, connect with stakeholders and National Coalitions, and support early engagement with learners and professionals across countries. As digital skills challenges become more complex and cross-sectoral, projects like SUSA benefit from being part of a connected European ecosystem. Platforms like DSJP enable visibility, alignment and collaboration across countries, helping to reduce fragmentation, scale training solutions and ensure that skills development keeps pace with Europe’s digital and healthcare transformation." UPRAISE: building a skills ecosystem for virtual worldsEloisa Vasconcelos Palacios, UPRAISE project and Università di Bologna (UNIBO)Cooperation is essential to support mobility, skills recognition and the achievement of Europe's Digital Decade ambitions."As UPRAISE is currently in its first year, we are only beginning to engage with the DSJP. While it is still too early to report measurable impacts, DSJP is already providing an important channel to increase the visibility of our initiative across Europe. By sharing information about our objectives, activities, events and upcoming educational opportunities, we expect to connect with stakeholders from higher education, industry and innovation ecosystems, helping us build collaborations and extend the reach of the Advanced Digital Skills ecosystem that UPRAISE aims to develop. As digital technologies evolve rapidly, connected ecosystems like DSJP are essential to align skills development with Europe’s emerging needs. For UPRAISE, DSJP supports collaboration among universities, industry and policymakers, increasing the visibility, scalability and sustainability of of project outcomes. Such collaboration is crucial to support mobility, skills recognition and the achievement of Europe’s Digital Decade and Skills Agenda objectives." DSJP user perspectivesThese testimonials from DSJP users highlight the platform’s transformative impact on collaboration, innovation, and digital transformation for projects funded by the Digital Europe Programme.
