Why a European AI Skills Academy

Europe faces growing shortages in AI skills, fragmented qualifications and training offers, uneven adoption capacity among SMEs and public-sector organisations, and persistent underrepresentation in AI learning and careers. The Academy responds to these challenges by connecting AI literacy and advanced competences with practical learning pathways and responsible AI adoption, with a particular focus on generative AI.

Three pillars

Knowledge, education and training - Competence frameworks, curricula, workplace training and Train-the-Trainer programmes.

Building the ecosystem - Connecting providers, employers and public bodies, and widening inclusive access.

Measuring progress - Evidence on skills, employment and organisational outcomes.
