More specifically, the platform is the place where the Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition (DSJC) meets. DSJC is an EU initiative that brings together Member States, companies, social partners, non-profit organisations and education providers, who work to address the lack of digital skills in Europe. The DSJC provides an opportunity for organisations that are taking action to improve digital skills across Europe to learn from their peers and to showcase their actions and their impact. The actions done under the Coalition umbrella are key to reaching the 2030 targets of the EU Digital Decade. The pillars of the DSJC National coalitions are multi-stakeholder partnerships that bring together diverse partners to implement concrete actions to deliver digital skills at all levels of society. They play a key role in fostering digital skills, not only at national but also at European level and are among the key content providers of the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, and share key information about national digital skills policies and initiatives, best practices in the digital skills area, and training opportunities, events. and digital skills resources. By pledging, organisations contribute to bridging this gap, through concrete actions like training, courses, or awareness-raising initiatives, aimed at equipping people of all ages and professions with the digital skills needed to thrive in the digital age.AcademiesSince April 2023, the Platform has become the home of the Cybersecurity Skills Academy, a European policy initiative that is part of the 2023 European Year of Skills, which aims to bring together and improve the coordination of existing cyber skills initiatives to close the cyber security talent gap, strengthen the EU cyber workforce, and boost EU competitiveness, growth, and resilience. More Academies are in development. The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is financed by the European Commission's DIGITAL Europe Programme. The Platform is developed by a consortium of organisations led by European Schoolnet and comprising Tremend, DIGITALEUROPE, LIKTA, European DIGITAL SME Alliance, and Public Libraries 2030.
