garagErasmus is the professional network of the Erasmus Generation that aims to support the shaping of better-integrated Europe. Its mission is to improve the lives of people who had international study or work experiences by enabling them to access opportunities that can make their careers more impactful for the European community. gE pursues its mission through matching demand and offer of international jobs, fostering social initiatives and helping​ the creation of new start-ups. The foundation was established in 2012 as the first professional network of the Erasmus Generation developed in coordination with the European Commission with about 50 members including Higher Education Institutions, local organisationas and companies. Since its foundation, gE established an on-line and off-line format, acting as an ecosystem of international talents, co-creating a stronger Europe through and with the Erasmus Generation, with a special focus on youth employment, valorisation of soft skills, non-formal education and inter-generational capacity building among alumni. In 2015 garagErasmus and Erasmus Student Network (ESN) founded the Erasmus+ Students and Alumni Alliance (ESAA) together with OCEANS Network and the Erasmus Mundus Association. Coordinated by the European Commission, ESAA is fostering cooperation between students and former students and supports activities focusing on strengthening their networking, professional development and intercultural learning.
