WHAT ARE THE EMERGING BLOCKCHAIN PROFESSIONALS?
Blockchain has emerged as a promising technological innovation offering solutions to complex problems beyond the finance sector, which is expected - if not already - to revolutionize the established business models even in traditional social and economic sectors such as government and health. The fast-paced expansion of Blockchain use has inevitably pushed up the demand for qualified employees in the European labour market. The job-site “LinkedIn” ranks Blockchain as the number one tech skill regarded by EU companies in 2020, and the job review site “Glassdoor” reported a 300% growth in Blockchain job postings for 2019. With the rising focus on digital transformation – in the event of the recent pandemic - Blockchain remains a top tech skill for 2021.
But what are the occupational profiles mostly sought after by employers across all fields of economic activity? And what are the most demanded Blockchain technical and non-technical skills?
The CHAISE project, via a comprehensive labour market analysis first time employed for the European Blockchain Sector, demarcated the Blockchain landscape and attempted to identify the emerging Blockchain professionals (occupational profiles).
