Agence pour le développement de l'emploi (ADEM)

The Agency for the Development of Employment (ADEM) is the interlocutor of salaried workers in Luxembourg. Placed under the authority of the Ministry of Labor, Employment and the Social and Solidarity Economy, ADEM's headquarters is in Luxembourg-City, with regional agencies in Diekirch, Esch-sur-Alzette, Differdange, Dudelange , Wiltz and Wasserbillig.

ADEM's role consists in particular of registering unemployed people as job seekers, determining their rights to compensation, paying them their allowances and allowing them to benefit from the measures it puts in place to promote their return to the labor market. For the personalized support service, job seekers determine, depending on their place of residence, their competent agency on the site of the Employment Development Agency.

In addition, ADEM organizes vocational guidance for young people under 30, and provides training, re-education and professional integration for people with disabilities.
