AIPIA - Associazione Italiana Professionisti dell'Intelligenza Artificiale is the Italian professional association for artificial intelligence practitioners. It is a non-profit professional association established on 23 May 2025 under Italian Law 4/2013 on unregulated professions, and it brings together 818 members based in Italy and abroad (September 2026).

AIPIA's mission is to raise the level of AI literacy and professional competence in Italy and Europe, and to support a responsible, human-centred adoption of artificial intelligence, consistent with the EU AI Act and with the digital skills targets of the European Digital Decade.

Our work is organised around four areas: AI literacy and professional training delivered through the AIPIA Academy for professionals, SMEs, educators and citizens; European Digital Credentials, issued as verifiable digital certificates that can be stored in Europass and are sealed with an eIDAS electronic seal; a Technical-Scientific Committee that oversees the association's methodological and ethical standards; and dissemination, through the editorial series AIPIA Studies in Applied AI, public webinars and events.

AIPIA cooperates with universities, professional bodies, public institutions and companies, and takes part in European and national initiatives on digital skills, AI competences and the responsible use of AI.
