Digital Skills and Jobs Platform

The Berlin Partner for Business and Technology GmbH (Berlin Partner) is a public-private partnership for the promotion of business and technology in the state of Berlin. The company is supported by the state of Berlin, chambers, associations and companies. Around 190 employees (as of 2025) work for the organization.

Promotion of economics and technology

The focus of the work is on the economic development of Berlin and the promotion of technology and innovation. Berlin Partner supports companies and investors in settling, expanding and securing their locations. This includes consulting services on funding opportunities, financing and suitable locations as well as support in the search for qualified personnel.

Companies and scientific institutions already based in Berlin are supported in expansion projects and networked with partners in the region. Another focus is on knowledge and technology transfer: Berlin Partner brings together actors from science and industry and supports their networking.

In addition, the society participates in the development and implementation of economic, technology and innovation policies of the state of Berlin.

Clusters, networks and location marketing

Berlin Partner takes over the management of various clusters and subject areas, which are oriented towards the further development of the Berlin-Brandenburg region as a location for science and innovation. These include transport and energy technology, the health industry and optical technologies. Other topics include artificial intelligence, electromobility and smart city concepts.

The area of responsibility also includes international capital and location marketing for Berlin. In addition, companies and investors receive services on real estate, promotion, financing, EU issues, sustainability and international issues.

The work of Berlin Partner is measured, among other things, by how many jobs are created or secured in Berlin with the support of the society. Other indicators are the investment volume and the third-party funding raised from the supported projects.
