The California Institute of Technology (CalTech) is a private research university located in Pasadena, California in the US. Known for its world-class research and work in the areas of science and engineering, CalTech is primarily oriented towards natural and applied sciences. Today, the university is home to a total of close to 2.400 students, enrolled in programmes on undergraduate, post-graduate and higher levels. CalTech also employs around 300 members of staff.
