Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation (CZELO)

The Czech Liaison Office for Research, Development and Innovation (CZELO) was established in Brussels in May 2005. The CZELO strives to support the successful integration of the Czech research into European research cooperation through specific mechanisms such as the EU Framework Programmes for Research, Development and Innovation (Horizon 2020). To achieve this, the CZELO carries out the following activities:

• Provision of targeted and up-to-date information on European research through the CZELO website, individual consultations, a Czech-language newsletter, the CZELO Bulletin, and Twitter
• Promotion of Czech science, research and innovation to Brussels-based partners and representatives to the EU institutions
• Preparation and facilitation of meetings between Czech researchers and relevant officers of the European Commission as well as possible project partners
• Organisation of events such as conferences, seminars, consortium building workshops about Czech RDI for the EU institutions, organisations based in Brussels and other partner institutions
• Logistic support and assistance for Czech researchers in preparing meeting with potential project partners in Brussels
• Support to search for project partners
