EPALE National Support Service in Latvia Created byAndra Krasavina|Updated12 February 2026The EPALE National Support Service (NSS) in Latvia is implemented by the Ministry of Education and Science (MoES) under the Erasmus+ project "EPALE National Support Services," Grant Agreement No. 101196944 – EPALE NSS LV – ERASMUS-EDU-2024-EPALE-IBA. Project implementation period is from 1 January 2025 to 31 December 2026.EPALE National Support Services are an initiative of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Education, Youth, Sport and Culture to create a common space for discussion and exchange of experiences for adult education professionals.EPALE Latvia was launched in 2014 and is an open-access multilingual community in 37 countries, available in more than 30 European languages. The platform has over 160,000 registered users across Europe.The platform is aimed at andragogues, teachers, training managers, researchers, trainers, librarians, policymakers and anyone else working in the field of adult education across Europe.The EPALE National Support Service is responsible for EPALE's operations in Latvia. The platform is a place where Latvian adult educators, researchers, students, policymakers can share country-relevant information and resources in adult education, decisions of policymakers, developments in other projects events related to adult education, promote multilingualism of the platform.The aim of the project is to attract as many active Latvian users as possible, who are part of the international community, maintain a discussion on topical issues of adult education, inform about upcoming events in the field of adult education in Latvia, write about examples of good practice and share resources.The EPALE platform includes a wide range of publications, a large library of resources, the opportunity to build networks and an international exchange of ideas on both good practice in adult education and developments in European education policy and economics.In-person and online activities have encouraged platform users to engage in discussions on various social media. The total number of followers and registered users on both social media and EPALE is constantly increasing.
