E.S.S.E. Social Academy is an Italian professional association and training organisation working on digital skills, professional development and lifelong learning, with a specific focus on digital communication professions.
The organisation promotes the Registro dei Comunicatori Digitali, a voluntary professional framework designed to make professional profiles, demonstrated skills and professional qualifications in digital communication more transparent, structured and verifiable within the framework of Italian Law 4/2013.
E.S.S.E. Social Academy identifies emerging skills needs in digital communication professions and develops initiatives connecting skills intelligence, assessment, continuing professional development and evolving labour-market needs. It is also developing IDONEITAS, a methodology for the structured management of professional qualification and assessment processes.
The organisation aims to strengthen cooperation between education, professional practice and the labour market by working with universities, education and training providers, professional communities, civil-society organisations, public bodies and employers.
At European level, E.S.S.E. Social Academy seeks to contribute to initiatives on digital skills, employability and lifelong learning, while developing partnerships for knowledge exchange, skills intelligence, learning activities and collaborative projects.
