IAPMEI - Agência para a Competitividade e Inovação, I.P. is the Portuguese public agency dedicated to promoting the competitiveness and growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and supporting business innovation and entrepreneurship. Operating under the Ministry of Economy, it manages a range of programmes and instruments designed to strengthen SME innovation, entrepreneurship, investment and access to financing, covering most sectors of industry except tourism. IAPMEI provides business assistance through regional development centres across Portugal and offers services including business financing, certification, training, and participation in networks such as the Enterprise Europe Network, with the aim of enhancing business competitiveness and sustainable growth
