iDEA - International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance

The International Institute for Democracy and Electoral Assistance is an intergovernmental organisation that works to support and strengthen democratic institutions and processes around the world, to develop sustainable, effective and legitimate democracies. Founded in 1995 in Stockholm, Sweden, today the organisation has regional offices in Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean, Asia and the Pacific and Africa and West Asia. The 'Inspiring Digital Enterprise Award', known as iDEA, is one of the organisation's most famous initiatives, offering an international award winning programme to help learners from all over the globe develop digital skills for work and employability - free of charge.
