Digital Skills and Jobs Platform

The Körber Foundation is a nonprofit foundation established in 1959 by entrepreneur Kurt A. Körber. Its operational work is organized into seven thematic areas: “Aging and Demographics,” “Education,” “Democracy and Social Cohesion,” “History and Politics,” “International Politics,” “Culture,” and “Science.”

Through its own projects and events, the foundation operates in Hamburg’s HafenCity, Bergedorf, and Berlin, and is active at both the national and international levels.

The foundation is classified as a corporate-affiliated foundation. It is the sole shareholder of Körber AG, the strategic holding company of the Körber Group. From this investment, it receives an annual dividend, which is used entirely for charitable purposes.
