Microsoft Corporation is an American multinational technology company that produces software for computers, consumer electronics, personal computers and related services. Its best-known software products are the Microsoft Windows line of operating systems, the Microsoft Office suite and the Internet browsers Internet Explorer and Edge. Its flagship hardware products are the Xbox video game consoles and the Microsoft Surface line of touchscreen personal computers.

Microsoft is ranked No. 21 on the Fortune 500 2020 list of the largest US companies by total revenue in 2016, it was the world's largest software maker by revenue. It is one of the big five US IT companies, along with Google, Amazon, Apple, and Meta.

Microsoft supports also several programs in the public sector, such as GR for Growth in Greece, with which aims to train 100,000 public and private sector professionals as well as five-year-old students in digital skills.
