Red Extremeña de Desarrollo Rural REDEX

The Red Extremeña de Desarrollo Rural (REDEX) is a private non-profit association (NPO), established in 1998 which brings together the 24 Local Action Groups of Extremadura. Together, they work toward the diversification of economic activities in the region's rural territories.

Their main functions are implementing European rural development strategies (LEADER) and boosting the social-economic involving the local population in development process of their own countys.

Redex acts as a territorial connector, facilitates local participation, provides knowledge of local needs, insure bottom-up approach in diagnosis and validation phases of projects, drives social and business innovation and works in coordination with numerous regional stakeholders.
