University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC)

The University of Vic - Central University of Catalonia (UVic-UCC), is a Catalan private university with premises in Vic, Manresa and Granollers (Spain). UVic-UCC is a higher education and research centre. The UVic-UCC is a member of the Vives University Network.

UVic was founded in 1997 after several years of activity as a centre of higher education associated with other Catalan universities. It aims to foster higher education, postgraduate training and scientific and cultural research activities, and knowledge transfer; paper and multimedia publishing; grants to support all these activities; and economic and social regional development. UVic-UCC seeks to provide in-service teacher training, support for the tutorial system and teaching innovation. It is a local university, committed to the economic and social development of the region, through teaching, research and knowledge transfer, with a European vocation and international outlook.
