The Virtual Innovation Consortium (VIC) project addresses the critical shortage of advanced digital skills in Europe, focusing on immersive technologies such as Augmented and Virtual Reality (XR). This initiative brings together a consortium of 11 partners, among educational institutions, industry partners, and research organisations to develop a comprehensive educational ecosystem, including a 120 ECTS Master's Programme, an advanced training programme, and an annual Summer School. These programs are designed to be accessible to a broad audience, especially targeting non-ICT professionals from sectors such as education, healthcare, design, and industry.Through its commitment to inclusivity and accessibility, the VIC project aims to attract a diverse participant base, thereby reducing barriers to entry in the digital sector. The consortium's focus on collaboration and resource-sharing across institutions supports sustainable partnerships, positioning Europe at the forefront of digital innovation and creating a foundation for continued impact in XR education and professional development. The VIC project runs with the support of funding via the DIGITAL Europe Programme of the European Union.
