Digital Skills Academies

Digital Skills Academies

Digital Skills Academies dedicated to specific sectors, like Quantum, AI, Cybersecurity, Virtual Worlds, High-Performance Computing, are key factors in strengthening EU leadership in digital and emerging technologies.

Developing advanced training programs, scaling successful initiatives and fostering collaboration between academia, industry, training providers, research, and public institutions, these Academies help align skills with market needs. They will also serve to promote digital careers, encourage greater participation by women and support the return of European talent from abroad.

Digital Skills Academies will be integrated into the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform (DSJP). Each academy will have an introductory page that acts as the entry point to its actions. Other dedicated pages with focused content can be also added and interlinked to form a corpus of information about each academy. Moreover, the Academies' trainings, events and community activities, as well as other contributions can populate the appropriate sections of the DSJP to attract immediate attention and achieve promotion and dissemination.

Connecting Digital Skills Academies across Europe’s digital landscape

By joining the Digital Skills and Jobs Platform, the Digital Skills Academies gain access to a Europe-wide community of learners, educators, industry leaders and other digital skills stakeholders.

Newly-established Academies will establish broad visibility from the start of their operation. DSJP, with its more than 20 thousand registered users and 111 thousand monthly visitors, will help the Academies to expand their reach, promote training opportunities, attract new partners, showcase success stories, foster industry-academia collaboration and connect stakeholders with funding, projects and networking opportunities.

Through dedicated Academy-only spaces and integration with the broader Digital Skills and Jobs Community and National Coalitions, DSJP strengthens the impact, and long-term sustainability of Academy activities.

What does an Academy gain by being hosted on the DSJP?

  • A prominent online presence on a respected EU information platform that provides high-quality information and resources
  • Immediate access and versatile editing workflow to create and adapt content in your own dedicated section of the Platform (e.g. the Cyber Skills Academy), such as:
    • A Training Catalog populated with detailed information about the trainings that each Academy develops or promotes, including synchronous, online, and in-person trainings (centralized listing is searchable by learners and consistent with their profile and preferences)
    • Learning Content referencing educational material, such as exercises, tutorials, lectures, and video-lessons
  • The opportunity to promote events or publicize news items that relate to the Academy's field

The reach of the DSJP

The DSJP community consists of ~22,000 registered stakeholders, and 23 National Coalitions are connected to the Platform.

A consistent, long-term year-to-year increase in monthly page views produced a range of 45,000–100,000 per month in 2025. Content engagement has only accelerated so far in 2026 – with an unprecedentedly high range of 70,000–280,000 monthly page views. With the expansion of the Digital Skills Academies, we expect that pattern to continue.

Academies onboarding

Registering as an Academy member on the DSJP grants you access and opens possibilities for collaboration on the DSJP. You will find instructions for onboarding new Academy members and a general guide to using the Platform below.

Step-by-step process

  1. Create an account Register on the Platform, using your EU Login credentials to authenticate. To fill your profile, there are mandatory fields and optional information, such as adding a photo.
  2. Academy member role Get assigned an Academy Member role. After obtaining a role, you will have privileges to draft content and access Academy-specific features on DSJP. The Academy will designate 2–3 people with the Academy Member role. One should be clearly defined as the coordinator and main point of contact between the Academy and the DSJP editorial team.
  3. Onboarding meeting with DSJP: The DSJP team will meet with the Academy’s coordinator and its Academy Members to introduce the opportunities of cooperation and explain the workflow and responsibilities for both parties. This is an 1-hour online meeting.
