Member States Academies and Campuses

Cyber Security Coalition

Bolstering Belgium’s cybersecurity resilience by building a strong cybersecurity ecosystem at national level, bringing together skills and expertise of the academic world, the private sector and public authorities on a trust-based platform.

Bulgarian Institute of Public Administration

Bulgaria does not have Cyber Campus or Academy. However, other training resources exist, as follows: within the framework of the project are held trainings and specialised forums aimed at increasing competences related to ensuring cybersecurity.

Cyber Citizen

The Cyber Citizen initiative will produce a model for cybersecurity learning and a learning portal, which will have content for all citizens, such as a cyber citizen skills learning game, that will take into account different target groups.

Campus Cyber

Campus Cyber gathers companies (large groups, SMEs), State services, training organisations, research actors and associations on the same site. The Cyber Campus implements actions aimed at federating the cybersecurity community and developing synergies.

Allianz für Cybersicherheit

The Alliance for Cyber Security itselft does not offer courses or certifications, but there are a lot of networking opportunities and members of the Alliance regularly offer training and education courses.

National Digital Skills Academy

Αn initiative of the Ministry of Digital Governance to develop and aggregate educational content at a single entry point, aiming to develop digital skills for all levels of citizens.

Cyber Academy

The Academy supports 49 public engagement and education initiatives that aim to improve public understanding of science, technology, engineering, and maths (STEM) and engage a wide audience of people with STEM topics

Cyberwise

This programme allows participants to develop an understanding of the multiple dimensions of cyber security and to appreciate the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration.

The national Ph.D. program in Cybersecurity

The program aims to train new generation of scholars, and future leaders, who can support and increase the resilience to cyberattacks of public institutions, businesses, and citizens

ACL - Accademia di Cybersicurezza Lazio

The Academy is a collaboration between the National Cybersecurity Agency (ACN) and Regione Lazio. Its mission is to train and skill up cybersecurity professionals through dedicated learning paths aimed at acquiring new skills in line with the market needs

Sunrise Valley Science and Technology Park

The Park is a place for innovative technological enterprises, enterprising members of the universities community, and an R&D environment, who aim to commercialize their knowledge, establish and develop businesses and expand innovative activity.

Luxembourg House of Cybersecurity

LHC is the backbone of leading-edge cyber resilience in Luxembourg and aims at capitalising on and further developing innovation, competencies, collaboration and capacity building.

Cybersecurity Skilling Programme

The National Cybersecurity Coordination Centre for Malta, under the auspices of MITA and funded by the RRF fund, launched a Cybersecurity Skilling Programme offering individuals a range of upskilling opportunities in cybersecurity.

Cyber Security Academy The Hague

The Academy facilitates the development of and alignment between professional education programmes in the field of cyber security. At the core are three cyber security programmes from the three involved universities/graduate schools.

MKB Cyber Campus

CyberCampus specifically aimed at Small and Medium Enterprises. Students of cyber security educational programmes provide advice to companies, under guidance of professional cyber security companies and governmental institutions and foundations.

Centrum voor Veiligheid en Digitalisering

A location were students, teachers, researchers and professionals from partners of the CVD work towards a safe digital future for the Netherlands. It organises education and innovation programmes, with a focus on cyber security.

The Hague Security Delta Campus

Security Delta (HSD) is the Dutch security cluster, with over 275 companies. By providing access to knowledge, innovation, market, finance, and talent, HSD takes care of the preconditions for a successful security cluster.

C-Academy

A Portuguese initiative that aims to address cybersecurity knowledge gaps in SMEs and public structures by upskilling and reskilling of human resources in Public Administration and Private Entities.

Digital Slovenia (Digitalna Slovenija)

The platform Digital Slovenia offers information and resources in different fields of digital society including digital skills.

Cybercampus

All Swedish universities and organisations are welcome to join the campus Working Group and shape up the proposed campus. Currently, Vinnova is funding a pre-study through the new Advanced Digitalisation programme to prepare for the campus launch.

EU Cybersecurity Campuses and Academies

INTPA Academy

The EU International Partnerships Academy (INTPA Academy) serves as an educational platform for all citizens interested in development and international partnerships topics. It provides free access to online learning resources on sustainable development.

CEPOL Cybercrime Academy

CEPOL is the agency of the European Union dedicated to developing, implementing and coordinating training for law enforcement officials. A a specialized training centre, that hosts law enforcement officials from across the EU.

ESDC’s Cyber ETEE platform

ETEE platform was established by ESDC to develop and organise cyber training activities for civilian, diplomatic, police, and military personnel in the areas of cyber-diplomacy, cyber-defence, cyber-crime and network information security.

Existing tools and frameworks of roles profiles and curricula

The Academy will foster knowledge generation through education and training by working on a common baseline for cybersecurity role profiles and associated skills, enhancing the European education and training offer to meet the needs, building career pathways, and providing visibility and clarity over cybersecurity trainings and certifications to enhance the supply side of the labour.

The European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) is a practical tool to support the identification and articulation of tasks, competences, skills and knowledge associated with the roles of European cybersecurity professionals.

Useful specific tools to design cybersecurity skills curricula

ECSO’s Minimum Reference Curriculum provides guidance on designing training courses for all levels on cybersecurity.
SPARTA Curricula Designer is a web application that allows users to create new or upload existing higher education study programmes and analyse their content according to requirements of work roles on a job market.
ACM and IEEE Cybersecurity Curricula Framework (CSEC2017 Joint Task Force, 2017) outlines curriculum guidelines for post-secondary degree programmes in cybersecurity.
CyberSec4Europe curricula frameworks aims to provide a unifying structure and terminology for cybersecurity knowledge areas, topics, and skills, intended to serve as solid common ground for designing and assessing education and training in cybersecurity.
Concordia teaching cybersecurity & cyber-safety in high-school provides a methodology and associated guidelines in support of the teachers when preparing to teach cyber-security and cyber-safety to high-school students

Other EU-wide useful tools to define a common understanding on skills, including cyber

There are many existing tools and frameworks that have been developed at EU-level, in cooperation with Member States, to facilitate a common understanding on skills as well as their cross-border recognition. While these have a broad scope to cover many kinds of skills, they can be also relevant to cybersecurity skills’ frameworks.

ESCO aims to support job mobility across Europe and therefore a more integrated and efficient labour market, by offering a “common language” on occupations and skills that can be used by different stakeholders on employment and education and training topics.
The EU developed the European Qualifications Framework (EQF) as a translation tool to make national qualifications easier to understand and more comparable. The EQF seeks to support cross-border mobility of learners and workers, promote lifelong learning and professional development across Europe.
The Digital Competence Framework for Citizens (DigComp) provides a common understanding of what digital competence is.
Europass is a set of online tools to help with creating CVs, cover letters, and also help users to find jobs and courses in the EU.
Launched in 1994, EURES is a European cooperation network of employment services, designed to facilitate the free movement of workers.
