Allianz für Cybersicherheit (ACS)

Founded in 2012 by the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI), the Alliance for Cyber Security (ACS) works towards strengthening Germany’s resilience to cyber attacks.
The Alliance is a collaborative platform for companies, associations, government bodies, and organisations in Germany to share information and knowledge on cybersecurity and current threats. Currently, the platform hosts over 7,400 members. Alliance members can exchange among themselves on their experiences and support one another in strengthening their IT infrastructure.

The members of the Alliance for Cyber Security benefit from:
- BSI expertise and networking with partners from the Alliance
- Valuable knowledge exchange and sharing of experience with other companies and institutions on security management, incident handling, cybersecurity attacks, and suitable protective measures

Becoming a member
To become a member of the ACS, an organisaiton must be from Germany or active in the German cyber space. Participating in the alliance is generally free and can be canceled at any time. An organisation must first become an ACS member before they can apply to become a partner or multiplier.
To guarantee valuable exchanges and experiences, the Alliance is also composed of IT services, IT manufacturers and consulting companies, as well as user companies of diverse sizes and industries.
Facilitating exchanges with experts in the field
The ACS organizes events to facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experiences from experts in the field in order to increase awareness on IT security and cybersecurity. During these events, participants engage in in-depth discussions on cybersecurity topics with experts and professionals from various industries. These events take place both online and in-person. Cyber Security Resources
The ACS website offers information on a wide range of cybersecurity topics such as specific cybersecurity recommendations for companies, as well as the BSI annual IT security reports on the state of the economy and current cyber threats. The ACS platform also hosts a searchable database of content to support companies and institutions in accessing knowledge on cybersecurity.
