The Digital Skills and Jobs Coalition (DSJC) is an EU initiative bringing together Member States, companies, social partners, non-profit organisations and education providers, who work to address the lack of digital skills in Europe.
The Coalition’s efforts cover four pillars:
- Digital skills for all, which focuses on digital skills development enabling all citizens to actively participate in European digital society.
- Digital skills for the labour force, which promotes digital skills development to boost the digital economy, e.g., by upskilling and reskilling the workforce as well as job seekers, taking actions on career advice and guidance.
- Digital skills for ICT professionals, which drives developing advanced digital skills for ICT professionals in all industry sectors.
- Digital skills in education, which supports teaching and digital skills learning transformation from a life-long learning perspective.
All organisations striving to boost digital skills in Europe can join the Coalition and pledge in the Pledge Viewer to actively tackle the digital skills gap in their community. Actions can vary from training job seekers, giving MOOCs for teachers, offering coding classes for children or providing cutting edge training for ICT specialists. Each organisation can create its own Pledge Scoreboard to find, compare and share pledges from across Europe.
We encourage your organisation to take the next step and pledge your commitment to equip Europeans with the skills they need for life and work in the digital age. The pledge can be big and small, from the private, public and third sector. It should go beyond your day-to-day activities and directly contribute to reducing the digital skills gap in Europe.
