Digital Skills and Jobs Platform

ALL DIGITAL WEEKS campaign aims to support the development of digital skills for Europeans of all ages, as well as accessibility and bridging the digital divide across target groups.

During the final online event of the ALL DIGITAL WEEKS campaign 2025, 5 inspiring digital education actors in Europe were also announced, resulting from the nominations of all participating states, which sent over 50 nominations in a total of 23 states. All 5 nominees received, among other things, a financial contribution to participate in the ALL DIGITAL conference, which took place in Malta in September 2025.

The EU categories of inspiration were Access to Digital, Digital Upskilling, AI & Emerging Technologies, Digital Well-being and Digital Policies. Portfolio of activities of the Czech non-profit organization Cyber Security Centre, which every year culminates in the National Finals of the Cyber Competition, won the main nomination in the category of digital wellbeing. The coordinator of activities and Cyber Security Centre Petr Jirásek presented the project and activities at the final online event for the entire campaign.

Why is this a good practice?

It is worth pointing out that Mr. Jirásek managed to connect 40 partners in 2025, who offered continuous support for the competition and supported the program of the conference for the general public on the educational and professional program during the announcement of the CYBER COMPETITION awards on 10 April in Brno, but also helped to appreciate young talents, pupils and students of elementary and secondary schools. The best of them represented the Czech Republic at the EUROPEAN CYBERSECURITY CHALLENGE which took place in Poland in October 2025.

The Czech Cyber Security Centre's success comes from its ability to gain recognition, build strong partnerships, and create a comprehensive, youth-focused program that promotes digital well-being and cybersecurity skills.

EPMA and the Unity of School Informatics were the national coordinators for the Czech Republic in 2025. The activities of the Cyber Security Centre, the informal Google Education Group (DIGIDAY) and EPMA (SchoolARtGallery) were sent to a narrower nomination for a group of 50 inspiring projects for the Czech Republic.

Key projects and initiatives

Beyond the annual Cyber Competition, the Cyber Security Centre runs a range of initiatives that together form a comprehensive ecosystem for cybersecurity education and awareness:

Kyberpohádky (Cyber Fairy Tales) is a project aimed at educating the youngest generation — and through them, their parents and grandparents — about online risks and safe digital behaviour. Developed with the support of NÚKIB (the Czech National Cyber and Information Security Agency) and partners including Vodafone, the project has received multiple international awards: winner of the EU ENISA European Cyber Security Month Award 2023, winner of the AFCEA International IDEA Award 2023, and finalist in the European Digital Skills Award 2023. The book has been translated into English, German and Slovak, and in 2024 a new edition was published using AI-assisted graphics.

The Student Cybersecurity Accelerator (SKA) identifies emerging topics in cybersecurity and defence, and engages young talents in research projects under expert mentorship, in collaboration with academic and professional partners.

Since 2021, the Cyber Security Centre has co-authored and published the Cybersecurity Glossary, now in its sixth edition, providing accessible terminology for both the general public and professionals.

Since 2025, the Centre publishes KyberŠikulové, a magazine for young enthusiasts in digital technologies, cybersecurity and AI.
