Issuance of Europass Digital Skills Traineeship Document - Czech Republic Created byTereza Tolde|Updated07 May 2026The Europass Traineeship Document (Europass mobility ) is an internationally recognised format for documenting learning outcomes that allows the systematic recording of digital competences acquired during traineeships, traineeships and courses. It contributes to a better transferability of skills between education, practice and the labour market and increases the transparency of learning outcomes. With its digital form created and tested in the Czech Republic, it is easy to use for individuals and companies.The National Europass Centre under the National Pedagogical Institute of the Czech Republic has long been dedicated to documenting the skills and digital competences acquired by students and young professionals through internships, professional internships, courses and other digital development activities.To this end, in 2022 it developed a digital form of this record that is compatible with the Europass CV and other forms of digital portfolios. In this way, the Europass Traineeship Document (Europass mobility) offers participants and organisations an easy recording format, which ultimately serves as an official and internationally recognised record of the course and results of the traineeship and the competences acquired, as well as facilitating the recruitment of new staff. Unlike the requirements in the Erasmus+ programmes, it focuses on the skills of the future and the labour market.This tool supports the cooperation of individuals, organizations and companies already in its completion and allows a transparent description of learning outcomes and their comprehensibility across education systems and the labour market. These are PDF forms with useful features. The length of the document and the functionalities were prepared together with the HR staff to meet the requirements for digital communication during recruitment. Document forms are prepared in three versions depending on the number of organisations involved and in four language versions – Czech, English, German and French. The forms are free to download and use as needed.In practice, the student or trainee can propose descriptions of their experience and the skills they have acquired. The descriptions are offered to use, for example, terminology from the ESCO database. The descriptions of skills in the document are then consulted by the student with his/her mentor. Both parties may propose and modify the descriptions. After the approval and digital signature of the mentor, the change form is locked. As a last step, the signature of the holder of the document is required. To illustrate your interest in using the Europass Traineeship Document, we provide the following data:In the period from 01/01/25-31/08/2025, sample files in the Czech Republic were downloaded 1,173 times from 660 users.In 2025, 3734 such Europass Traineeship Documents were issued in the Czech Republic, mainly in English. These data show that the Traineeship Proof is also used by organisations working with a larger number of trainees. Each participant in a traineeship, a temporary job or a course, during which he/she acquires not only digital skills, can acquire, after their completion, a Europass mobility in which they are clearly and comprehensibly described:the type of traineeship undertaken and the host organisation;the specific digital skills acquired by the participant;the level of competences achieved and the degree of autonomy in their use;soft skills acquired in a digital context (e.g. online communication, remote teamwork, problem-solving using digital tools).The competences described correspond to areas of digital skills such as working with information and data, creating digital content, communication and cooperation in the digital environment, or cybersecurity.In the case of organised traineeships, the document is usually filled in by the sending and receiving organisation, which ensures its objectivity and high informative value for future employers or educational institutions.Benefits for participantsDescription of digital competences – participants will get a clearly structured overview of what they have learned during the traineeship and can easily use this information in their CVs or professional networks.Increased competitiveness in the labour market – Employers appreciate the official document confirming not only technical skills but also the ability to work in the digital environment.Promoting autonomy and self-reflection – completing the document makes participants aware of their own progress in skills, especially digital skills.
