Phortify Grants for the Be Part of Phortify program directed to women - Pilot Call

Context

Phortify, a project funded under the Digital Europe Programme, opens a call as part of its “Be Part of Phortify” programme, an initiative aimed at students from underrepresented genders in STEM, particularly women, to engage with frontier research in photonics. It offers financial support to attend a three-day immersive programme at the ICFO (Institute of Photonic Sciences) in Barcelona, designed to expose participants to research environments, career opportunities in deep tech, and professional networking within the field

Activities

• One-day laboratory stay within an ICFO research group

• A career development session

• Networking sessions

• A training session for transferable skills

Eligibility Criteria

1. Applicants must be EU Nationals or from Digital Europe Programme associated countries

2. Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a STEM programme

3. Must belong to underrepresented genders in STEM (including women, non-binary and genderqueer individuals)

4. Applicants must demonstrate a clear link between the programme and their academic or professional development

5. As part of the application process, the applicants must submit a Curriculum Vitae and a motivation letter

Funding

• Budget for the Pilot Call: 600 EUR

• Total budget: 3000 EUR
