Spain - Digital program (Educa en Digital) Created byMāra Jākobsone|Updated26 July 2024The Digital Program to promote the technological transformation of education - Educa en Digital, is a strategic programme on digital skills and jobs, approved by the Council of Ministers of Spain. program approved by The Council of Ministers of Spain with the aim of supporting the digital transformation of education in Spain. The strategic initiative Educa en Digital started in the academic year 2020-2021. One of the main objectives under its remit is to address existing challenges to digital public services in the educational field, with a special focus on vulnerable groups of people and those, traditionally left behind digital innovation processes. The program will provide half a million devices with connectivity to publicly-owned centres that will make them available to students with the aim of promoting digital education for all and fostering the development of futureproof skills for the younger generation. The program establishes the implementation of assistance platforms for teachers, students and educational authorities through the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) to promote a more personalised approach to education and training. This development will allow the development of personalised itineraries for students, more effective monitoring of their progress, and help teachers analyse better the evolution of their students and understanding of material.
