Building the Alliance: EU Code Week Meets VET Providers

On 13 May 2026, EU Code Week will host the online workshop “Building the Alliance: EU Code Week for VET”. 

The webinar is dedicated to Vocational Education and Training (VET) educators who want to strengthen their work on digital skills and talent development. EU Code Week is expanding its efforts to involve VET providers more strategically, recognising that vocational learners play a key role in Europe’s digital future.

Objective of the workshop

The workshop aims to build a meaningful bridge between VET educators and the EU Code Week community. More specifically, it will:

• Recognise the importance of empowering VET students with a mix of digital and transversal skills – such as problem-solving, collaboration and creativity – that are relevant across many professions, not only in the ICT sector.
• Showcase the VET Toolkit as a practical, ready-to-use resource to support classroom activity that connects more directly to career orientation
• Experiment in small groups using the creative learning approach and a selection of activities from the toolkit.
• Foster peer-to-peer exchange among European VET teachers and educators, highlighting good practices and local experiences.
• Enable long-term engagement by showing participants how to share their own initiatives on the codeweek.eu map and how to stay active in the international EU Code Week community.
