The ARISA project with the participation of IVSZ ended with free AI trainings and a new strategy

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) has long ceased to be a matter for IT professionals – the competitiveness of domestic companies now depends on AI literacy. After four years of work, IVSZ and its 20 international partners successfully completed the Erasmus+-supported ARISA project. The resulting free educational platforms, leadership trainings and European skills strategies directly support the responsible and effective application of AI in practice in Hungary and Europe. 

At the end of May, the four-year European Artificial Intelligence Skills Alliance (ARISA) project supported by the Erasmus+ programme was successfully completed, in which the IVSZ-Digital Entrepreneurship Alliance collaborated with twenty international industry partners. The Alliance has collected information on how the results of the project contribute to the widespread use of AI-based technologies in Hungary and Europe within the framework of ARISA.

The main results of the project include the ARISA AI Skills Academy, which offers free online learning opportunities for users with different skill levels, including students and employees, to learn at their own pace the necessary knowledge for the effective application of AI through self-monitoring tests in addition to the curriculum. 

The English-language training program provides a comprehensive but easy-to-follow introduction to AI-related concepts, ranging from neural networks and deep learning to introducing the main actors and trends in the AI ecosystem, including AI modelling in Python. Participants can obtain a certificate of completion per course and an Achievement Certificate upon completion of the entire material. 

Trainings on AI for business leaders

The AI Fundamentals for Decision-Makers online training, created by ARISA and specifically designed for business leaders, decision-makers and organisational leaders, deserves special attention. The course, which can be completed independently in 1-2 hours without IT or statistical pre-qualification, demonstrates in a clear way the fundamentals of artificial intelligence and machine learning and how they can support business decision-making and organisational innovation.  

The aim of the training is to enable managers to make more informed decisions about the deployment of AI technologies, to better understand the business opportunities and risks of AI and to be better prepared to respond to the challenges of accelerating technological change.

Supporting education and labour markets in the AI era

The European AI Skills Strategy developed within the framework of ARISA aims to bridge the gap between the educational supply and the needs of the labour market, which is important because Hungary's competitiveness now depends on a skilled workforce. The use of AI is no longer just an IT task: In addition to classic development positions, there is a drastic increase in demand for AI strategists, consultants and ethics experts with business, legal and organizational competencies, while there is also an urgent need for CEOs to develop their own AI skills. Critical labour shortages and lack of training supply can only be addressed through systemic cooperation between education and the market, basing future training directly on company needs.  

A common methodology for more effective AI training

The standardised AI job and training profiles developed under the ARISA project in cooperation with two of Europe's most important official standardisation organisations are a bridge between strict EU regulation and day-to-day business operations, helping companies to integrate AI faster. 

The AI Literacy Practices Report, prepared in cooperation with the EU AI Office, provides practical guidance for organisations to ensure so-called AI Literacy, the cornerstone of responsible and efficient use of AI technologies. 

Practical help for AI trainers

One of ARISA's highlights is the Train-the-Trainers programme, designed for trainers, corporate trainers and training organisers who are organising AI-related training courses or upgrading their existing learning materials. Market demands for AI skills are growing much faster than new professionals would enter the labour market. The training of Ahazai trainers, corporate trainers and training organizers is the solution to the lack of capacity. 

The European-recognised, scalable methodology not only provides theoretical AI knowledge, but also provides complex methodological support for the development of practice-oriented trainings tailored to domestic needs. With its help, Hungarian educators also have access to state-of-the-art knowledge that enables them to transfer AI knowledge in a mass and efficient manner, thereby accelerating the development of digital literacy in a wide variety of educational forms throughout the country.

The ARISA Career Guidance Platform provides practical guidance for those who are interested in AI-related careers or wish to undertake training in AI-related careers.
