The tool is based on a short set of questions about a product or service and gives the user within minutes a clear assessment of whether the product falls within the scope of the regulation or is outside its scope. The tool is designed as a simple, user-friendly guide to help companies understand potential regulatory requirements at an early stage of product development. In this way, organisations can plan the necessary safety measures, documentation and compliance procedures in a timely manner.Supporting businesses in understanding the new legislationThe Cyber Resilience Act introduces mandatory requirements for all products with digital elements sold on the European market, from software and IoT devices to connected systems and digital services. The legislation aims to improve the security of digital products throughout their life cycle and reduce vulnerabilities in the digital ecosystem. For many companies, especially small and medium-sized ones, understanding and implementing the new requirements can be a major challenge. That is why the CRACoWi project develops practical tools to help companies interpret legislation, assess compliance and prepare the necessary documentation. The first step to complianceCRA Scope Check is intended as a first step in understanding the requirements of the new regulation. It allows companies to quickly determine whether their product is covered by legislation and what steps they will need to take to ensure compliance in the future.By developing such digital tools, CRACoWi contributes to increasing the cybersecurity of digital products in Europe and helps businesses to prepare more effectively for upcoming regulatory requirements. You can try the tool here.
