European Digital Skills Awards 2025 close with strong participation across Europe

Applications for the European Digital Skills Awards 2025 are now closed, and the numbers are in!
After the resounding success of the past two editions, this year's call attracted a total number of 195 applications, reflecting the growing momentum behind digital skills initiatives across Europe.
As in previous years, the Digital Skills for Education category proved the most popular, drawing 61 applications. Close behind was Inclusion in the Digital World with 56 submissions, followed by Digital Upskilling @ Work with 42 entries. The Cybersecurity Skills category welcomed 19 innovative initiatives, while Women in ICT Careers saw 17 inspiring projects step forward for for recognition.
When it comes to national engagement, Spain leads the way with 52 applications, highlighting its strong commitment to building Europe’s digital capacity. Italy follows closely with 44 submissions, while Romania (41), Greece (37), and Portugal (29) also stand out for their active participation.
The Digital Skills and Jobs Platform is delighted to see such a wide range of projects aiming to boost skills, promote inclusion, and prepare Europe’s workforce for the digital age. This year’s entries once again showcase the creativity, collaboration, and dedication that are driving Europe’s digital transformation.
