Latvia: Partner Insights for Digital Week 2026
Latvia is actively preparing for the annual campaign Digital Week 2026 and this year it will be held for the 17th time. On February 20, more than 50 Digital Week partners came together to share ideas and practical information about the planned activities from March 16 to 20.
The Digital Week in Latvia is organized as part of the ALL Digital Weeks 2026 (#ADWeeks2026). In 2026, the campaign’s focus, “Digital well being for a competitive Europe”, highlights the importance of ensuring that people across Europe can engage with digital technologies confidently, responsibly, and sustainably. It reflects the need to make digital inclusion and skills development part of everyday life, supporting people’s well being while contributing to Europe’s long term competitiveness.
The main partners of Digital Week together with the Latvian Information and Communication Technology Association (LIKTA) are Ministry of Education and Science, the Culture Information Systems Centre, the Ministry of Smart Administration and Regional Development and the Latvia State Radio and Television Centre. Together, more than 100 partners have already been involved in organizing activities. The digital map is available here.
The Digital Week 2026 partners seminar was attended by representatives from ministries and state institutions, municipalities, libraries, ICT industry companies and non-governmental organizations. In various online and face-to-face events, every citizen - entrepreneurs, employees of state and local government institutions, representatives of the education field, students, children, parents, seniors, etc. are invited to improve digital skills, to use digital technologies and services more actively.
This year’s Digital Week in Latvia will host the following thematic days:
- 16 March - Digital Week kick-off events
- 17 March - Digital skills and artificial intelligence
- 18 March - Digital skills in education; DigComp 3.0: European Digital Competence Framework for Citizens
- 19 March - Cybersecurity and safer Internet
- 20 March - Digital skills for entrepreneurs and ICT professionals
