Latvian version of DigComp 3.0 launched! Created byAndra Krasavina|Updated03 June 2026Since June 2026, DigComp 3.0 resources have been localized and available in Latvian. DigComp 3.0 has been localized into Latvian with the aim of ensuring its accessibility for Latvian citizens, state, municipal, and private institutions, as well as to promote its use for digital competence development in Latvia.DigComp 3.0 describes the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for an individual to be digitally competent in everyday life, for participation in society, work, and learning; the framework applies to both children and adults. The framework supports the Digital Education Action Plan, the Union of Skills strategy and related Action Plan on basic skills (PDF), and the Apply AI strategy. It is also the conceptual basis of the Digital Skills Indicator (DSI), used to monitor the level of basic digital skills in Europe through the Digital Decade Policy Programme. By describing competence in terms of knowledge, skills and attitudes, the framework is designed to help policymakers, educators, training providers and employers to develop curricula, assessments, upskilling pathways and sectoral competence profiles. The framework influences and inspires digital skills policies at international and European levels.
