Lithuania's Digital Innovations Appreciated on the World WSA Stage
Pasaulinėje WSA scenoje įvertintos Lietuvos skaitmeninės inovacijos

At the WSA (World Summit Awards) World Congress, which just ended, the teams representing Lithuania achieved truly exceptional results: Two of Lithuania's digital solutions have been ranked among the best in the world.

EditAI, an AI-enabled educational platform that helps teachers create more engaging and curricular classrooms, has become one of the five global winners in the ‘Learning and Education’ category.

Ellyceus, an AI-enabled maths learning platform developed by the BBright team to identify students’ knowledge gaps and provide personalised learning content, has become a global winner in the Young Innovators category and has been awarded the World Champion title in this category.

“The WSA World Congress is not just an awards event, it is a global space where digital innovations with a social impact in different parts of the world become visible. Teams that develop technologies that address real challenges in education, health, inclusion, climate, public services and community needs meet here." says Ieva Žilionienė, Lithuanian national expert on the WSA platform, member of the global WSA Board of Directors and head of the Digital Book Carrier competition commission.

“I am particularly pleased that this year, for the first time in history, the Lithuanian team won the Young Innovators’ World Champion title – this achievement not only shows that the enthusiasm and faith of the BBright team in their mission have enslaved the hearts of the World Congress jury, but also illustrates the growth potential of our country’s digital innovation ecosystem.”

According to Ieva Žilionienė, connecting internationally is particularly important for social impact digital innovations. Such solutions require visibility, like-minded people, partners and the opportunity to learn from the experience of other countries. This is exactly what the WSA community provides: a space to share good practices, grow together and spread ideas that can be useful not only in one country, but also in a much wider context.

Both teams entered the world stage of the WSA through Lithuania’s national selection, the ‘Digital Book Carrier’ competition organised by the State Digital Solutions Agency (VSSA), which has been helping to present Lithuania’s digital solutions of public interest internationally for many years.
