Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards 2026 celebrates 5 winning projects breaking AI frontiers
Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards.

The Luxembourg artificial intelligence ecosystem was once again honoured at Nexus Luxembourg 2026, at the second edition of the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards.

Organised by FEDIL – The Voice of Luxembourg’s Industry in partnership with Luxinnovation and with the support of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce, these awards recognise organisations that use artificial intelligence to generate concrete economic, societal and environmental impact. Of the 47 applications received this year, five projects stood out for their innovativeness, effectiveness and measurable impact.

The 2026 Laureates

Sustainability Award

  • CRAB Traceability Systems won the award in the Sustainability category through its Mobile AI Waste Scanner project, an AI-based solution to identify and classify waste more efficiently to support better resource management and circular economy principles.

Finance Prize

  • Fundvis was awarded in the Finance category for its Third Party Provider Management Oversight project. This solution uses AI to analyse and monitor data on third-party providers, strengthening control and compliance processes in the financial sector.

AI Adoption Award

  • Cargolux Airlines International received the AI Adoption Award for its Cargolux AI Email Sales Parser project. This solution automates the processing of business requests received by e-mail, improving operational efficiency and response times.

Health Award

  • Techcyte Europe was awarded the Health Prize for its Techcyte Fusion project, a platform that leverages artificial intelligence to support diagnostic processes and improve the efficiency of healthcare and laboratory workflows.

Productivity Award

  • YOUNEA won the Productivity Award through its LuxAIaaS – Luxembourg’s AI-as-a-Service All-in-One AI Platform project. This platform aims to make AI technologies more accessible to organisations through a comprehensive and user-friendly solution.

Responsible and maturing AI dynamics

Beyond technological innovation, the Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards highlight the growing maturity of the ecosystem and the increasing adoption of AI in concrete and operational use cases.

As pointed out by Sophie Klecker, Chair of the Selection Board:

“The cases submitted this year are distinguished by their diversity in terms of technologies and use cases reflecting an increasing maturity of the ecosystem. They reflect an increase in the adoption of AI in various sectors, with projects based on concrete applications and anchored in operational realities.’

Elisabeth Margue, Minister Delegate to the Prime Minister in charge of Media and Connectivity, also praised the achievements of the winners:

“In their different categories, the winners have proven that they are rapidly innovating to deliver services and products based on sustainable and human-centred growth. These are successes that highlight the AI know-how that already exists in Luxembourg.

Highlighting Luxembourg’s expertise in AI

The Luxembourg AI Excellence Awards confirm the growing dynamism of the national artificial intelligence ecosystem and the gradual integration of AI in key sectors such as finance, health, industry, sustainability and productivity.

The five winners illustrate the diversity of uses and the ability of Luxembourg organisations to transform AI into concrete, useful and widely deployed solutions.
