National Meeting of the Bulgarian Networking Academies

The National Meeting of Networking Academies brought together instructors and managers from Cisco academies providing training in computer networks, cybersecurity, and other ICT-related fields. Operating across universities, high schools, and VET centres, these academies play an important role in strengthening digital skills in Bulgaria.

Held on 20–21 June 2026 in Karlovo, Bulgaria, the annual event serves as a platform for the Bulgarian networking community to exchange knowledge, discuss the latest ICT developments, and explore new opportunities for collaboration. During the meeting, the UPRAISE project was presented, showcasing its main goals, activities, and expected results. The keynote speaker of the event was Teodora Borissova, Chair of Bulgarian Association of Network Academies BANA .

About the UPRAISE initiative

UPRAISE is a European project focused on strengthening advanced digital skills for the Virtual Worlds economy. Through innovative and modular training programmes, the project will contribute to more than 2,500 bachelor’s, master’s, and MBA degrees, as well as over 1,600 certifications. It will also provide personalised learning pathways, immersive XR-based learning environments, and train-the-trainer programmes, while fostering long-term collaboration between academia, industry, and policymakers to support Europe’s digital and green transitions.
