From July 25 to 28, the National Library of Latvia (LNB) hosts the "Baltic Summer School of Digital Humanities: Discourse Analysis and Digital Literary Studies". Registration for in-person and online participation has already closed, but every day at 9:20 a.m. everyone has the opportunity to watch one summer school lecture for free on the LNB Youtube channel.

The Baltic Summer School of Digital Humanities is an international, intensive continuing education program that enables researchers, teachers, and students of the humanities and social sciences, as well as professionals from archives, libraries, and museums, to acquire different digital research skills. These skills range from working with digital data to visualizing research results.

The Baltic Summer School of Digital Humanities is organized for the fifth time in 2023. As usual, participants will learn programming with the Python language, web data collection skills, and data visualization through Tableau and Gephi. This year, for the first time, Python language learning will be organized in two streams: beginners and students with prior knowledge. The special focus of this year's school is discourse analysis, digital literature research, audiobooks, and DH infrastructures. A full description of the lectures and lessons can be found on the website Digital Humanities in Latvia.
