Orange commits to closing the cybersecurity skills gap with new pledge for Cybersecurity Skills Academy

Orange, a major telecommunications operator with a presence in 26 countries and 287 million customers, has pledged to help address the cybersecurity skills gap in the European Union. With a new pledge for the Cybersecurity Skills Academy, Orange has committed to closing the cybersecurity skills gap by providing hands-on learning and mentorship to 20 cybersecurity professionals by the end of December 2025.
About Orange Cyber Apprenticeship Program
As part of this effort, Orange will offer its Orange Cyber Apprenticeship Program, a training initiative designed to combine theoretical knowledge with practical experience in cybersecurity. The program aims to equip participants with the skills necessary for a career in the cybersecurity field.
This pledge is part of the Cyber Skills Academy, an initiative launched during the 2023 European Year of Skills. The Academy coordinates existing programs to address the growing cybersecurity talent gap, strengthening the EU's workforce and boosting its competitiveness and resilience.
Through this pledge, Orange aims to contribute to the development of cybersecurity expertise and help meet the increasing demand for skilled professionals in this critical sector.
