The Slovak National Coalition launches call to support activities to help prevent the spread of fake news, identity abuse and disinformation campaigns

The Slovak National Coalition has launched Call no. DK_00122025 for submission of applications for a contribution to the implementation of projects on the topic of preventing and combating disinformation, identity abuse in the online space and fake news online.

The call is designed to support activities that focus on raising awareness of disinformation campaigns, education, developing media and digital literacy, building critical thinking and trust in quality journalism. The total amount of funding allocated to this call is EUR 200 000.

The call will support projects in the following thematic areas:

  1. Analysis and monitoring of the information environment;
  2. education and improvement of media and digital literacy;
  3. creative ways to fight disinformation;
  4. building trust in quality and objective journalism;
  5. prevention and awareness-raising in the field of digital security;
  6. support for community initiatives and local projects.

Eligible applicants are non-governmental organisations, schools, interest associations of legal entities, research institutions and other non-profit entities operating on the territory of the Slovak Republic.

Minimum amount of contribution per project: EUR 3 000 (excluding VAT).

Maximum contribution per project: EUR 30 000 (excluding VAT).

Eligible expenditure must be incurred from the submission of the application until 31 March 2026.

The deadline for submitting applications is from 1 to 31 October 2025.

The results will be announced within 30 days of the expiry of the deadline for submission of applications.

Projects to be supported by the contribution must be implemented by 31 March 2026 at the latest.

Applications shall be submitted exclusively electronically using the web form.

The projects will be assessed by an independent expert committee on the basis of the following criteria: the suitability and effectiveness of the project, the feasibility and impact on target groups and the economic efficiency of the budget.
