Organised with the support of the European Commission, the  EU Code Week is a volunteer-run initiative working to promote digital literacy and collaboration, and help kids, young people, and adults bring their ideas to life through coding, and programming. In 2023, a range of inspiring webinars for teachers, covering topics like the Metaverse and app development were organised. In a rapidly changing world, young people must have the necessary competencies to thrive in this digital society. EU Code Week highlights the importance of learning to code as a way to develop computational thinking, as well as problem-solving, collaboration and analytical skills. As such, EU Code Week encourages schools and teachers to get involved to help students all over the world develop their digital literacy skills.
