Cesis Digital Centre offers a Digital Skills Assessment Tool Created byAndra Krasavina|Updated23 July 2024The Cesis Digital Centre has developed a tool to assess digital skills across 6 competence areas and over 20 different themes. After the assessment, an evaluation report will be sent to the e-mail address provided, which will show which competencies require further development of digital literacy and a comparison of self-assessment against the knowledge presented. Everyone is invited by the Cesis Digital Centre to complete this quite long skills assessment test to be able to plan and offer appropriate learning activities for the development of digital skills based on a data-driven decision and not just based on a sense. This provides training providers with the opportunity to offer a much more measurable service and a more intelligent use of municipal funding. The collected data provide feedback and show the level of self-assessment and knowledge in 6 different areas of digital skills competencies:Work with devicesInformation and data literacyCommunication and CollaborationDigital content creationSafetyProblem-solvingThe assessment time is 60+ minutes. It is divided into several parts and contains self-assessment questions as well as knowledge test questions, but the assessment must be completed in one sitting. The responses will not be saved in the system before submitting the test. Do not fulfill this assessment at a time when you are fatigued, as this will significantly reduce the ability to concentrate and obtain an objective assessment.The assessment has been developed to be used both individually and within an organization. If the assessment is done on behalf of an organization or company - company e-mail should be used. This will allow the person to be identified, which will allow the company or organization to better plan training to improve workers’ knowledge.
